Meet The Counselors 

Emily Lazalde

Mrs. Lazalde is beginning her first year at Holy Rosary. Mrs. Lazalde graduate from Christian Brother's University with a Bachelor of Art degree in Liberal Studies and a minor in Psychology. She then went on to teach. She is currently enrolled in the Master's  program for School Counseling at Wake Forest University and is working towards completing her Practicum. Mrs. Lazalde's Counseling on-site supervisor is Mrs. Benton and her off-site supervisor is Shaun Sowell at Wake Forest University.  Mrs. Lazalde primarily works with PK-3rd grade students, but is available to help any student. Mrs. Lazalde is currently employed full time. 

Elyse Benton

Mrs. Benton  graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She then went on to receive her Master of Science degree in School Counseling from the University of Memphis. Mrs. Benton  primarily works with the 4-8th grade students, but is available to help any student. Mrs. Benton currently works part-time and is in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays. and Thursdays. She is looking forward to another wonderful year at Holy Rosary!
